Frequently asked questions

  • My 180mm fans are making strange noises. What could be the issue?
These larger 180 mm fans needs more time to distribute the lubricant inside the bearing than regular fans do. If your case is new, try and run the PC for a few hours with the fans spinning to ensure the lubricant is spread out properly and then see if the noise persists.
If it does, please create a support ticket and we'll try and help you out.

  • Why does the white Torrent have a solid metal panel on the right side while all the other TG SKUs have TG panels on both sides?
During development, we experimented with different sets of side panels for the white case. On darker SKUs, a heavily tinted TG panel on the right side both looked very good, and hid the cables in a very nice way. We experienced that a heavily tinted TG panel on a white case subtracted too much from the overall white aesthetic of the case, and a clear TG panel made no sense since every little cable management imperfection would be visible. We therefore went with a solid metal right side panel on the white SKU to best fit the white aesthetic theme of the case.

  • Are there any vertical riser mounts that will fit in the Torrent?
The Flex B-20 is compatible with the Torrent out of the box. This is one of our few cases where it might have a negative impact on your GPU temperatures though, considering how unrestricted the airflow already is in the case for the graphics card horizontally.
The Flex VRC-25 is not compatible with this case.

  • Can I control the RGB effect on the Prisma fans and shroud LED with an Adjust R1?
Yes, the Adjust R1 is compatible with both the LED-strip and the fans. If you plan to connect all of your RGB on to it, there might be power issues though. Our recommendation is to plug the units directly in to your motherboard 3-pin 5V ARGB-header (ADD_HEADER).

  • How does the fan hub in the case work?
The Nexus 9P Slim hub is a PWM fan hub which distributes the signals from the main header to the rest of the 4-pin PWM fans, making them go at the same percentage of their maximum speed.

The main header is marked in the manual, and on the hub, it's marked as FAN1. This needs to have at least 1 PWM fan connected to it in order for you to control the fans on the hub, considering it's the only header that receives and sends signals to the motherboard. It does not need to be the CPU-cooler connected to the header, but it has to be a 4-pin PWM unit. You don't have to connect the hub to the CPU_FAN header either, but have it on a 4-pin PWM-header (avoid the AIO_PUMP header, since it's sometimes set to run at 100%).

It is not possible to control the fans on the hub separately. They will all run at the same percentage.
