The Define R4 support some models of 240 radiators, depending on configuration. There is no space for 280mm raditators.
The thicker black square shapes are highlighting the area where a standard sized 120mm and 140mm fan will normally go.
The spacing allowed for radiators in the top of the Define R4 is 15mm.
